Cathedral City has been busy improving our Roads and Bridges.

Date Palm Drive bridge was widened and updated structurally in 2019. It was widened from 4 lane to 6 lanes with bike lanes and pedestrian sidewalks.

Cathedral Canyon Drive at the Whitewater Wash will be next to receive a bridge. This low water crossing has always been at the whim of local weather. Local residents became accustom to hearing the phrase “closed at the wash” when rains would cause the normally dry Whitewater River to flow.
